Q: Where were you born?
Although I was raised in Central NJ, I was born in Oslo, Norway!
Q: Do you love to travel?
Yes, I love to travel and have been to 30 countries and counting! Japan, Croatia, and Bali top the list as some of my favs! My husband and I were lucky enough to embark on a six-month trip around the world in 2019. I love learning about different cultures, fashions, and meeting new people!
Q: What do you do in your leisure time?
When I’m not in the office, I love spending time with my husband and baby boy. We love to try new restaurants, go on hikes, and enjoy the outdoors. Health and fitness are very important to me; you can catch me riding on the peloton a few times a week! Lastly, I have a huge interest in interior design and decorating; I take each room in my house as a new project and have so much fun doing it!
Q: Why and how did you decide you wanted to be an optometrist?
Optometry has been my dream since I was eight years old. I was captivated by our family optometrist, not only for his expertise but also for his ability to make every patient feel like family. He took the time to truly connect with his patients, which left a lasting impression on me. When I began shadowing him, I saw the profound gratitude in his patients’ eyes as they experienced clear vision for the first time. This inspired me to pursue a career where I could combine my passion for optometry with a commitment to providing compassionate, personalized care.
